The purpose of counseling is not simply to survive life’s difficulties but to thrive in life. I teach all my clients to have a clear understanding that it is their life and to understand the goals and objectives of the counseling process. I help guide all my clients to a healthier and more abundant life, but I want them to understand why and how the changes they are making work.

Whether you are facing high anxiety, depression or relationship issues, my goal is to work with you to reach your personal goals in a safe environment. I am passionate about what I do because I know what it is like to walk alone without guidance. I also know that it is not just counseling but rather quality counseling that can change your life and perspectives. I can help you overcome your pain and find the new purpose of your life. My approach is interactive and collaborative. I am both bilingual and bi-cultural fluent in English and Korean. Counseling via Skype is also available.

Anita Vaccaro, M.A.
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
A lot of the issues that people face stem from repeating destructive patterns that lead to the same undesired outcomes. Such behavioral patterns were developed by necessity, not by choice, and are habits of life saving responses such as: chase, avoid, anger, anxiety, non-confrontational, and many more. The problem is that these responses create only an illusion of safety. In treatment Anita will help identify the unhealthy, unproductive behavioral patterns and guide you in tapping into the strength, authenticity, and wisdom that you already possess. Through a series of techniques, you can eliminate unwanted behaviors, learn more effective ways to communicate confidently, break performance ceilings, and improve the quality of your life within yourself, in relationships, and in the workplace.
I strive to create an environment that can foster growth and healing. Gently, we will explore and change the patterns in life that keep getting in the way. I am passionate about what I do and I take great pride in my ability to listen, empathize, and encourage others. Together, we will develop the steps you need to help move forward towards the life you want to live.
